Colloboration Project - T&L in a Networked Env.

Per Jeff's last post to me and I quote: "This is great! Be thinking of a collaborative project you can do with your classmates in this class. Maybe you want to use your wiki as a way to bring information together that all of you can use". So let's do it ladies. I'm on vacation in Disney from 4/27-5/2 so I'm trying to stay ahead of the game. Ok, some things that have interested me in our journey together so far. Wiki's, I also find I am intrigued with digital identities, see url's
http://budtheteacher.com/blog/2008/04/05/recreating-ourselves-online/ and http://ringblog.typepad.com/corporatepr/2006/05/thinking_about_.html. Kim I also think your themes I have noticed in your blogs such as "how we break the barriers at school to allow web 2.0 to come right in" is a great one too, unless you think we should do this on an application more than a topic. Let's start collaborating :))

Hi - Thanks for thinking of me! :) Yes, I think it would help me a lot in my classroom and it may benefit all 3 of us if we did something about trying to get the web 2.0 into the classrooms.. how to do that.. we can also run off a little and talk about identity too because again in the NEA magazine, there was an article about posting private identity information on social networking sites and how it is hurting them in their daily lives.. not being hired for jobs or being fired from jobs due to their "openness" on myspace or facebook... how can we teach the kids to be private, but be open somehow with their identities.. and how can we explain it to the schools to allow them to wiki.. with others from all over the world .. and promise they will behave?? here is the link to the article..

Just my thoughts.. but I will do whatever you want! :)

I like it alot, Let's wait to hear from torchgirl and see what Jeff has to say. I am pretty open myself and really like the integration of topics. Do you find this valuable?

You can use torchgirl@comcast.net for an e-mail. I hadn't noticed the latest link and can't get to it from school (talk about openness). Do you find this valuable?
